In the project my main job has been the general modelling for all assets in our game.

The general process for this has been organising the modelling trello board and then choosing an asset with the highest priority assigned to it and then starting to model that.

For most assets in our game an at least rudimentary concept piece has been done by either Harrison or Abbie so generally I know what they are wanting from the asset however I do go to them with any questions I have to ensure the asset will be exactly how they want it for the texturing phase.

I’ve been able to be fairly quick with the modelling process in our game, especially considering I’ve had to pick up blender from scratch during this process as I wanted to ensure we were all on the same page using the same softwares to keep things simple.

After a conversation with the texturing team it was decided that they’d like to do the unwrapping for the assets as they know how they want the assets unwrapped (since all our assets are hand painted) so this has also helped me to keep the modelling process very efficient, creating a backlog of assets for them to unwrap and texture and freeing me up to help with other areas of the game.
